Ceiling fan install, with two wall switches
I've installed a ceiling fan in a hall location where there were two lights, placed the fan and light combo at one of the existing locations. But there are two independent light switches now I can't use the fan and or lights sepertly, I have light and fan on or off and not independent

Brad, I am confused by your sentence "But there are two independent light switches now I can't use the fan and or lights sepertly, I have light and fan on or off and not independent" Is there a question here? I am assuming your want to control the fan and the light separately, right. No can do without one of two options. #1 run new extra cbale to the eciling box and back to the wall switch so you have 2 hot lines, a white nuetral and a ground. Option 2 install a remote control made for a light/fan combo

I'm sorry about the confussion, but you are right I want to use the light in the hall without having to run the fan, or visa versa. Before I installed the fan at one of the existing light locations we had two ceiling lights and two wall switches.
