Where is 'kck'. That is a ridiculous amount of an increase. Landlords in Toronto would never be allowed to do that and give notice for the next month. Chuck, is the place worth that much? Has your LL been making improvements and upgrades to justify that amount of money ?

Kck is probably Kansas City, Kansas.

Have they given you written notice of this monthly rental increase?

    Hello chuck:

It has to be a WRITTEN 30 day notice. If it's not written, it didn't go up.

Are you under a lease or month to month? If a lease, when does it expire? If you are month to month then they have to give one rental period's notice of any increase. And it has to be in writing.

However, the amount of the increase may exceed local limits. If you tell us where kck is, we may be able to find info on that.

Perhaps, but I'd rather the OP tell us then waste time guessing.
