Every year around fall I bake a pumpkin roll. However every year as I roll it it falls apart can anyone give me some advise on how to keep it from falling apart?

Do you specially prepare a thin, cotton kitchen towel with powdered sugar and roll up the hot baked pumpkin cake in it and then refrigerate it?

Since the OP doesn't seem to be coming back, I would like to know what a pumpkin roll is and if it is a good thing, how to properly make one:D
I have never heard of one and it is the pumpkin season:rolleyes:

I copied it to Word, fixed the font size for my recipe box, and printed it out.

Hope you have someone in your life to share it with.

Yes I do, my son and his friend. Although I believe I will be sharing most with the neighbors:)

After I attempt to make it and love it, I will hand write it into my cookbook.

It was great! I had to pull a tea towel out of my embroidery stuff because I didn't have a clean one handy and I used parchment paper because I don't like the smell of burning waxed paper.
    It turned out perfect.

J wanted to know if there was cream cheese in it, I said I didn't remember:) and then he went and looked at the recipe. He had already ate 9/10ths of it before he realized he doesn't like cream cheese:rolleyes:

    The neighbors loved it.
    Thanks WG

I'm having the same problem.. I placed my pumpkin roll on was paper and then flipped it over on powder sugared damp towel. Once I let it cool in the fridge and I unrolled it to add cream cheese it started to fall apart and spread on me :( HELP!!

I'm a lazy cook who likes to cheat so my solution is to cut it into slices and make it like a layer cake...
