I am 28, I get vaginal discharge for 2 years, but I've never had my period. Why?
Hello, I am almost 28. I have been seeing white discharge for the past 2 years. But, I've never had my period. I don't want to take any medicine to prevent it. Please, advise. What should I do? Would I ever have my period? Can I get pregnant?
Thanks for the help.

I have never seen a post before like yours that is absolute proof that a woman can be so out of touch and ignorant of what's going on with their body.
You have to be kidding us, right... you are 28, never had a period and have had a white discharge for two years
I can honesty say, what is wrong with this picture ?
For heavens sake, go see a doctor and ask him these questions.

Discharge is normal for every woman.
It sounds as if you have never been to a gynecologist, which is extremely risky. For your own health, you need to set up an appointment immediately.
If you have never had a period, something is most likely wrong with your reproductive system. You may or may not be able to have children; the only way to get a more firm answer is to see a gynecologist to determine what the issue(s) is/are and to proceed from there.

I too have to wonder why you have never been to a GYN at 28, other than no health insurance?
I agree with This8384, if you don't have one, then I would certainly make an appointment to see one and get checked out. At 28, you should have a pap done once year, just to make sure everything is OK.
Please get checked out.
Good Luck.

Yes, health insurance issues are a problem down there. I keep on forgetting that, when its so easy for to just make an appt. if doubtful. I still have to wonder how a 28 year old woman squeaked through all these years with no period, and she is just starting to ask now. I could have gotten all technical about a white discharge, and truth be told, a white discharge, if no odor is perfectly normal.
Yes, this, it may have been insulting, but you really want to know something, sometimes an individual needs a heads up like that to really start thinking about what's going on. With all the information we have out here nowadays, the net, articles in papers, women's magazines discussing every nuance of a woman's body in and out and a 28 year old woman wondering why she hasn't had a period !

I agree with you. That's why I felt that you didn't deserve a reddie. I mean, we aren't talknig about the stone ages.
For a split second when I originally read her post, I thought that this might be a troll. However, I was and still am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
She should contact a Doctor. There could be something wrong with her. To be 28 and to ever have had a period, makes me wonder.

Agreed - all the information we have "out here" is plentiful and should be more than enough. That being said, you have no idea where the OP is from or what information she has available.
And trust me - mods give infractions for less than what you said. You called a scared person who is looking for information "ignorant" - directly violating site rules.

You had better read my post again, this. I absolutely did not say 'you are ignorant', I never directly called the OP ignorant. I SAID, AND READ IT AGAIN, 'IGNORANT OF YOUR BODY'.
Where do you get the impression it is a 'scared' person? I don't get that impression, this.

Tick... what you said is true and also has an edge to it, bordering on berating. Your folowup posts focus less on an answer to the OP'd question and more to your amazement about the ignorance of the OP'er about her body.
Fine.
I don't give a damn.
Yes... I'm as direct and often cross as you were in my posts... in a short tempered irish guy... the OP'er has reason to be offended, and its your fault.
I've worked with 26 year olds who didn't understand why it was important to shower at least once or twice a week. I work almost everyday with a man who speaks five languages but struggles to communicate in some of the "simplelest" terms.
Sorry. I think it took me ten good years of failure and reading and exploration to have half a clue about sex.
I agree with your idea... that an adult woman should be responsible for her own body and should actively pursue an education about her body...
So... she just did this. Too late for you... but she just did this. You don't know what background she has. You don't know her financial situ. You don't know what mental barriers might be in the way.
Sorry. That's the human state. We get in our own way. For many reasons.
And I'm damn well pi$$ed that a woman coming here for help and direction gets berated for being ignorant about her body.
It happens. All the time. If you don't care to help with kindness, p!s$ off. Stop assuming that the person on the other end is dumb and lazy.
Pretty please?

To the OP'er...
Are you currently sexually active? For how long? For how long with your current partner?
Where do you live, generally speaking?
How is your health? Are you active? Do you get enough to eat? Is your workplace safe? Any stressors? Preceding the past two years, were you regular? How old are you?

Hello everyone. I read your answers to my question and think there is not a lot you can do to help me out. The fact that you are judgemental does not help. Thanks for all, though. Bye

I am active. I have a job, and have friends, I am happy in life and no, I've never had intercourse. I have seen doctors, but I don't want to do anything that may compromise my health. Thanks for the thought. I wished you could help.

Unfortunately we can't diagnose on here. We don't know what the situation is. It could be many things as to why you have not had your period.
The only thing I can really say, is that having a white discharge is normal for women.
Have you gone in for pap smear before? If not, then I strongly suggest that you do, as I posted before.
I wish you the best of luck. I also would like to apologize to you if you felt that you were being judged. We do get a lot of people (trolls) that ask certain questions just to waste our time and mess around with us.
I do believe that you are sincere and concerned about your health. I wish I had an answer for you, other than to seek a physician.
Good Luck.
