This is addressed at great length in numerous sources -- look for the VSEPR theory. The difference between electron group and molecular geometry is that the electron pairs orient to attain their greatest separation. Their BONDING pairs determine the shape of the molecule -- only ATOMS contribute to the shape of the molecule. The nonbonding pairs are there, they are not part opf the molecule's shape. In other words any diatomic molecule must be linear: as Euclid pointed out, two points determine a line. Triatomic molecules are therefore either linear or bent. Etc.

Hello again,
Can I ask these questions:
Is the non electrolyte solution the same molecular solution?
And please is this information correct, it says" the types of solution are 1. non electrolyte and stronge electrolyte?
Thanks a lot

Yes, solutions of non electrolytes are molecular solutions -- examples: glucose (C8H12O6), ethyl alcohol (CH3CH2OH).
A solution of sodium chloride is a solution of a strong electrolyte: in solution, NaCl exists as Na+ and Cl- ions.

Thank you Dr.
Can I say in breife:
The bonding electrons around the atoms, determine the shape of the molecules?

I'm sorry, what does Neutralization reaction mean?

Start a new question - I nearly missed this.
Neutralization reactions combine an acid and a base until both have completely reacted with each other. When a strong acid reacts with a strong base, the resulting solution has a pH for 7 -- the solution is NEUTRAL.
