    Over amping 92 ford ranger 2.3
    I have a 92 ford ranger with a 2.3 5 speed that is over amping and boiling batteries. I have replaced the alt. and voltage regulator put a new battery in can't find any lose or broken wires but it still is over amping its putting 16.9 volts to the battery at an idle. Need help.

    I think your voltage regulator is bad. Does your Ranger have an internal or external regulator?
