Is it possible to file bankruptcy and have the restitution eliminated?
I was ordered to pay restitution of 10,000 dollars ten years ago and today I received a letter about the issue I also have other debts such as student loans, credit card bills and medical bills. Is it possible to file bankruptcy and have this eliminated being that I'm in hardship and have been for quite some time now?

Was the restitution court ordered due to some crime ?

If it was though a criminal act normally no it can not be.

Also in the US, normally student loans can not be eliminated either.

Yes it was through a criminal act so there is nothing I can do such as maybe go to the judge or something there is no way I can pay this amongst other things
