    Hi All,

Few days ago, my roommate had some problem with this guy who visits his girl friend in the same property I'm living in. This guy was banging at our door in the middle of the night and he tried to hit my roommate. When I tried to stop him, he instead threw a punch at my face and I hit the door flame and my injured my forehead. We called the police then and filed a complaint against him. Now, if they happen to catch him, what action will they take? Will we be safe?

What kind of assault? There are many ways to assault someone, assault property, etc. Be specific.

He broke the door open and hit me. So, the answer is, assault on me and my property.

System is a bit different in the UK from Canada or US Tabraiz. It sounds like a minor occurrence. Hard to say what action they will take but they would probably want to know if you are pressing charges. So its up to you really. I imagine you would just want to forget the incident should the police contact you again, if they apprehend him.
