    Help Me find a way!
    I am a Mother of two children. I was married to my daughters father. We are not together now. I pay him childsupport. But I do not have a Job now. I was working a very good job at the time the papers where done. And I lost that job a week after because his parents got me the job. So when we where nopt married anymore the job went with him. So no I am stuck trying to pay on a income I don't have anymore. How do I fix this and how long can I go with out paying before I could get in "jail" trouble. And what would he have to do to get me in "jail" trouble. I love my daughter and I would love to be able to help pay for here but I am a single mom now and I can't even pay my own bills I have no money to give him.

    You need to see an attorney ASAP. Child support is based on income in most areas, so they should be able to at least lower it.

    Each state ( and even each court) has its own opinion about late payment, in some just 30 or 60 days behind can end you up in jail, or at least get your drivers license suspended.

    But first as soon ( the day or week) you knew youu could no longer pay ( or income changed) that is when you needed to file to have support admended
