Co Signor on Mobile Home Passed Away & no longer owns it, who pays?
My mother passed away. Before she passed away she co signed a mobile home with my exwife. My credit at the time was horrible and the both of us (exwife & I) were living together.

Now my mom has died and my father during probate gave away any rights to the mobile home. (My mother owned 1/2 the mobile home, left all assets to my father who signed the mobile home over to my exwife).

Is my father STILL responsible for the loan? Why do the bills STILL come in my exwife's name & my mom's name and it's been over 5 years since my mom died?

The lender (Green Tree) won't discuss the terms of the loan with any of us except my mom (who is dead).

The estate of your mother would still be on the debt, and the estate can not give away ( or sell) any property with a lien on it, without paying for the lien. So yes the estate appears to not have been handled properly.

I am a bite confused. Just because mom was a co signer on the home (loan I assume) does make her part owner. Did I miss something
