How can I keep my dog from peeing in the house, and on the mattress? My house smells of dog pee I can't tell when she has to go out either

How long have you had her and has she always been like this. l9 months old dogs are usually pretty stable in their habits if they have been trained well.

Sounds like you are not on the same wavelength as she. Get her out first thing in the morning (I hope you have a fenced backyard, this will be easier) at regular intervals so she gets on the proper schedule. At l9 months she should be able to get through the night. I had a dog once that peed on my bed right after I got back from vacation (I mean almost as soon as I started unpacking). I sort of knew why she was doing it. She was telling me she was not completely happy at being left with someone else. That's what I mean by not being on the same wavelength.

That is a pretty big dog and lots of pee! Try to read her cues and get her on a regular schedule. but you can't rule out a medical issue either, i.e. urinary tract infection is one I am thinking of. Maybe you should get her to the vet for a check up.

Hope you have a good leash. It's a two way street, dogman, you train her well and you won't have to work at it so much. Do you like walking ?
