I am having this problem, when I type I am getting the blue numbers on the respective keys typing in instead of the letters,I have to hold the function key down to get the letters. Please help.
The above is how it comes out without holding keys down.

You have NumLock on on your laptop. Toggling it off depends on your make and model. Usually it's a combination of holding down the blue Fn key with the corresponding blue key that toggles NumLock; the blue is usually small icons above another key, like this:
