    My furnace is blowing cold air
    I have a 30 year old Rheem electric forced air furnace which actually runs great, usually. When I bought this townhouse five years ago, there was a home warranty. The first time I turned on the heat for the season, it blew a fuse. When the repairman came out, I asked if the unit should be replaced and he said he could keep it running "forever". The only "repairs" that this unit have needed in five years is just filter and/or fuse replacements, and I do that myself now.

    When I turned on the heat for the first time this season, the blower worked but the air is not getting warm. I've replace the two larger fuses, but I'd like to know if there are other things that I can check for myself before calling in a pro.

    Other items to consider:
    (1) I have a 3 year old Honeywell programmable thermostat, which is reading the temperature accurately;
    (2) I have aluminum wiring
