Why is my toilet tank leaking out of the top every time we flush?
The top of the tank is on correctly. This just started today with no other issues present.

Have you tried flushing it with the lid off to see just where the water is coming out? Sounds like some kind of water spray from a leak that would only present itself when the toilet is flushed. Try that and I'll bet you find the water leak.

Are you saying the tank is actually overflowing? This is odd since there is an over flow tube in the tank making this almost impossible

    Bob,
I think dhaeb is saying is that the ballcock sprays out the top with every flush.
    Twink nailed it!
The answer to this problem would be to replace the ballcock.
    Good luck Tom
