While I wish you would not, I believe you will. Since it is obvoius you have a drinking problem, have to test for some reason, you know that you need help, if the only way is to fail a test and have that help forced on youu, so be it.
But don't worry, if you do pass, a friend who gets upset can always call and report it to the department doing the testing

Too close to call. The water, across a two day+ period may help. How do you determine 0 BAC, by the way? Did you drink about 15 beverages (more from curiosity)?
Heavy chronic consumption, for reasons not completely understood, tend to increase the detection window for EtG/EtS. On the other hand women tend to metabolize a little faster than men. But women are also more prone to physical problems, in particular liver disorders.

I know I have a problem, that's why I have to take the test. I have been in an outpatient treatment program for the past year and just finished and fell off the wagon:( I don't really do anything in moderation, just most alcoholics don't.

Also when do the 80 hours start, your last drink or when you are at zero BAC? Does it matter if you have drank all week then hit BAC of zero, or you drank a few and hit a BAC of zero at the same you would have if you drank all week? Thanks a lot!!

Timing EtG begins at 0 BAC. While metabolizing alcohol EtG is still being created.
There is some indication that EtG is cumulative, although the studies are mixed. I have noted that all of the longer detection periods have derived from chronic heavy use. In addition, I noted the 14 hr elimination rate (Midnight-2 PM).
The science in relation to EtG is limited and ever changing. There are very few studies of females even though it is well established that they metabolize alcohol at a different rate than men.

When they say "up to" 80 hours, what determines the "up to"? (can you tell I'm nervous?? ) Has anyone passed it under 80?

The "up to" 80 hours is present in most ads, brochures, news articles. Promotional at base. In reality the detection window for EtG varies widely from individual to individual. It is known that “Some people produce more EtG for a given dose of ethanol than others." The exact limits of the variation aren't known but it is associated with a specific genetic polymorphism.
This wide variation of EtG, 10x isn't uncommon, is present in all of the research to date.
The test is very unreliable as presently used and should never be relied upon as proof of alcohol consumption. This has been repeatedly emphasized by US Health and Human Services and by Dr. Gregory Skipper, who introduced the practice to the US.
