    What are installation instructions from manufacturer?

    Most fiber glass tubs are set in mortar to keep it from deflecting and getting cracks or breaking at drain.

    Yes you should unless the factory has already installed supports. If you bed the base be sure to bed around the drain. Good luck, Tom
