    EAD for L2 visa?
    Hi

    I have a few questions for applying for EAD on an L2 visa. My husband is travelling end of this week and I intend to travel by end of March 2011. I read that I can apply for EAD online and need to be physiacly present there for the biometrics appointment.

    1) When should I be applying for EAD so that my biometrics appointment is scheduled roughly around first week of April?

    2) Once the biomentrics apptmt does get scheduled, is there a way to request and change it?

    3) In case the authorities need some papers intermittently for processing my application, would it be okay for my husband to provide those?

    4) After the biometric, how long does it take for the EAD to come through?

    Generally it takes about 30 days to get your biometrics appointment for your EAD application. No need to time the filing as you can go after a scheduled biometrics (some ASC's have designated days for missed appointments) by re-scheduling.

    Documents for an RFE can be submitted by anyone.

    EAD usually issued about 90 days or about 60 days after biometrics.
