    I have temporary guardianship of a 17 year old.
    I have temporary custody of a 17 year old. My husband and I cannot afford to feed him and get him medical insurance. We make too much money to get assistance, but can he apply for himself since he is 17?

    NO, but as soon as he is 18 he can apply, as long as he says he eats sepratly.

    Please don't advise her to lie to her state government. That is a big no-no.
