I like him and he says he likes me to, but he also says he likes my best friend. I'm scared he likes her and is just lying to me so I won't get hurt. Me and him have our history but we have never dated. I would like to but I don't know if he does. I know people says he's a waste of my time. I have liked him for 3 years now almost 4 now. I'm so scared I like him so much like no other. I've been with other guys and he's the best. He understands me. He trust me and I trust him. I trust him with my life. He cares about me. He would kill someone if they ever hurt me. I wish I could tell him how I feel. In a way that would make him like me back. I need help in letting him know that I would do anything for him. I would sacrifice so much for him. I need him. I cry because I don't know how to tell him all this. Please help me. Please give me advice so I can tell him "I love him." Please. What do I do?

How old are you? There are no easy answers to your question, and there is no way to make someone like you. Now you can tell him how you feel, but what he does about it is up to him, but don't get so carried away by those feelings, strong as they are to you that you would do anything to have them, or keep them. That's not love, because love is a two way street, and something to share, not just wish for.

First of all, you don't trust him %100 because if you did, you wouldn't be scared that he likes your best friend more and might hurt you. That's a red flag though if he likes your best friend. Does she like him back? If so, cut him loose. It'll get ugly and if your best friend cares about your feelings, she'll back off too. Overall though, the best thing to do if you want to know HOW MUCH he likes you is to back off and see what he does. Act like you could care less if he's in your life or not, that doesn't mean be a ***** because of course that could create turmoil too, but just exit his bubble for a little bit and see what happens. If he reacts like you want him to, which is coming on to you stronger so-to-speak, then yes tell him how you feel but don't throw the "L" word in yet because that could scare him off or make him think he can play you. But if he doesn't react to you pretending like you don't care then that means he genuinly doesn't feel the same you do. Which might be hard at first, but there is most definitely better and bigger fish in the sea to catch. I hope this helps though.

If he likes you still years later, he PROBABLY had feelings for you the entire time. Not going to lie, it's kind of how men's minds work. We like to hold onto things but don't know how to say it. By not voicing interest, he's probably going after your friend because she is similar to you, and he might think that you don't want to get together. Us dudes LOVE IT when chicks assert themselves and do the hard work. Ask him when your talking to him personally with something like "Can I tell you something?" and then tell him how you feel. Start with how you really like him and in the likely case he responds well, then get into the "heavier stuff". Ask him if he feels the same way. It shows how important he is to you. Right now he probably thinks that you like him as a friend/lover possibility. When I don't know I tend to say I like someone that I know they like so they don't look down upon me. Women are an unknown species to men. Just be straight. That's how out minds work. We just like the truth.
