What does it feel like to be pregnant?
What are the early early stages like? Could you tell two or three weeks after the sex that conceived the child. When did you start getting nauseas? I know some body types won't show until much later in the pregnancy. What are the early signs or pregnancy?

It can be quite individual in what women might feel and when they feel it. Things can even be different from pregnancy to pregnancy for the same woman.
Some of the more common early signs:
*frequent urination
*being more tired than usual
* perhaps some nausea
*feeling like a period is about to start (pms and early pregnancy symptoms can be quite similar)
*breast, in particular nipple, tenderness
*increased vaginal discharge, often white/creamy in colour

Thank you! How early do the symptoms of pregnancy start showing usually? Which self pregnancy tests would you recommend to be the most reliable and accurate? Does smoking marijuana mess the tests up should my friend have a doc test for pregnancy?

If there is any chance of pregnancy you, or is it your friend? should NOT be smoking marijuana. It shouldn't mess up a pregnancy test but could be harmful to the baby, if there is a baby. First response claims to be able to detect the hormones sooner, but it's not a guarantee. Usually, it's best to wait until a missed period, take a test, and then if it's negative and still no period within the next few weeks test again. Sometimes the first test is still too early

The symptoms of pregnancy are different for every woman, and they are different for every pregnancy.
Not all women experience symptoms at all.
Smoking pot won't mess with the pregnancy test, but it WILL mess with your baby. It causes low birth weight, early labor, problems with lung development in the fetus, and possibly other long term effects if continued.
The best test I recommend, as a nurse, is the Clear Blue Easy that tells you positive or negative.

So, J_9 nurse, is it too early for an accurate test result after three weeks from the sex in question that could cause a pregnancy?

How long ago did you have sex? Have you missed a period yet?

The act in question took place three weeks ago and I'm pretty confident I have in fact missed a period.

When was/is your period due?
Remember to take the test using first morning urine as it is more accurate as the concentration of the pregnancy hormone HCG, is higher in the AM.
If you are pretty confident you already missed your period test. If it comes out negative, and you are still concerned, test again in another week.

Tender breasts (Kinda on the sides of them)
My stomach is hard, but it sticks out higher up than it usually does.
Tired/Fatigue...
