Am I being haunted? Please help.
I am a 17 year old girl. I think something is haunting me. I hear my name being called. I hear noises, thumps, grunts, footsteps in the attic. Sometimes I feel like.. I'm not myself. Like something is controlling me. Sometimes I'll see people, normal people. For some reason they'll stand out to me, and I'll look back at them and there'll be nobody there. I wasn't so scared before, but now I feel like things will be touching me or gently tugging on my hair. Am I just going crazy?

I think you just better get a grip on reality. Either that or you have been watching too many scary movies, paranormal TV shows. Get something else to do in your spare time besides just going to school, get out of the house, socialize. In other words, start being a normal seventeen year old girl.

Many things happen that cannot be explained.

Many more strange things happen that can be explained by logical, rational thought and investigation when at first
They seem too strange to be explained.

What appear to be shapes and figures can be reflected lights or dust in the air or any number of things.
Your brain has the power to "see" what is expected, real or not.

The fields electric currant emit can affect how we feel and make you uneasy.
Variation in the power supply to your house can cause appliances to do things they normally don't.

When we get scared we perceive things differently than we do when we are not scared.
And strange unexplained things are scary.

But I believe in the paranormal.
    I have experienced it.

But with the recent interest in "ghost hunters" and hauntings that proliferate the TV
Now, have caused too many people to look for paranormal answers first , instead of
Looking at other possibilities first and foremost because 90% of the answers are there in
The rational reality of everyday life.

When the rational is ruled out, then it is only rational to look elsewhere.

And I don't think you're going crazy, you need to look closely
And be objective at what is happening to you.

Keep a written record of the time, date, and what happened.

Try to get recordings, pictures, video, or any thing you can think of to maybe help.

Weather, the angle of the sun , reflections from passing cars, bikes, toys or hundreds
Of things can seem something they are not.

Have your house and yourself blessed by your priest, minister, rabbi, or clergy of your choice.

Then keep us posted on progress, or lack of progress and maybe we can find you some answers

@Tickle To be honest, I'd say I have a pretty good grip on reality. I'm a good student, I have lots of friends, and I "socialize" enough, thank you. Is there any other explanation about my life that you think you deserve? Instead of being unhelpful and going out of your way to question my so-called normality, perhaps there's another thread that would be better suited to your childish responses.
@martinizing2, I have left a recorder on in my bedroom for the past 3 nights. Every night, it sounds as though the device is being picked up and dropped several times. I've tried to explain the shadows I'm seeing or things I'm hearing in my house with logic, but all of my explanations are highly improbable. I have lived in my house since I was 3 years old. I know the noises that my house makes because I grew up with them. It's impossible for there to be light in my bedroom of any sort because my bedroom faces my backyard, which leads up to a hill. I could also say I'm just being paranoid, but my family taught me not to be afraid of spirits or energies since I was a child. I live with only my mother and my grandparents, and all have had paranormal experiences at some time in their lives. My aunt, who visits regularly, is a self proclaimed psychic, although I've yet to find any validity to her claims. I'm not uncomfortable with the possibility of a paranormal entity nor am I uncomfortable with the possibility of there being perfectly logical explanations to all the things that have been happening to me. My mom has been feeling strange in the house as well, although has not experienced a lot of things that I have. My grandparents seem unaffected. My grandmother says she's heard me talking in my sleep the past two nights, although no voice has shown up on my recordings. For the record, I have talked in my sleep before, I don't find that strange, but what I do find strange is that there is no evidence of it on the recordings. I feel extremely tired all the time, my hands and feet are always cold, and the doctor says I'm in perfect health ( I thought maybe I had mono or something). Thank you for your response, which was helpful.

I am sorry that my response was not to your liking, possibly an opinion you didn't want to hear from an older indvidual with two feet planted firmly on the ground and a pretty good handle on the paranormal. No, I don't think there is any benefit to me or anyone here being notified of any other tidbits of your personal life.

I certainly got a chuckle out of your last sentence regarding my maturity level, however, I would suggest yours may need some adjustment.

You asked a question, I answered it. Exactly the way I interpreted it.

You are not going crazy. There are demonic spirits around you and the only thing they fear is the name of Jesus Christ. Your only hope is accepting Jesus Christ in your life. If you will not do this, then these demonic spirits will automatically have permission to torment you until they cause a real tragedy to happen. God is real, Jesus Christ is real and there is a Heaven and a Hell. When you accept Jesus into your life, He will give you His authority and power to ask these things to leave (in the name of Jesus) and they fear nothing else but this. My father who is a minister has cast demons out of people and they scream at the name of Jesus and they have also begged not to be sent to hell... anywhere but hell. That's a very sobering thought. The days are very short until Christ's return and evil is increasing. Just look at the news. I suggest getting a bible and accepting Jesus Christ, the son of the living God into your life and then you will have the power in His name to take your life back. There is no other way. Today is the day of salvation!
