90's children's/teen movie about a wizard and a girl in big city
I remember vaguely that she tried getting rid of him at first but he needed her help or he knew she needed his. He just shows up when she's at school or in her room I think. I want to say it was in New York but I was really little watching it so it was probably just a big city. I think I remember them visiting somewhere really dusty road or brown house where maybe he stayed at some point and a big city event like a gala. (maybe) It might be a disney but it was on VHS around 95-2000.

Ok, I am trying to find the name of a children's movie from the 90's. It came in a red case. It seems that at the beginning the kids were sleeping and they went into another world, like a forest. They had a party. I remember there being a long table and they danced and sang. Does anyone know this?
