I wold like to lay a few feature tiles on top of wall tiles just laid. Possible?

I have just had a kitchen renovation completed and am not happy with the tiles surrounding my stove top. I would like to 'improve' it by adding a few feature tiles on the top. It looks great, but I am not sure if tile can be laid on tile.

Any advice is appreciated. I don't want to replace all the tiles in my shower enclosure and thought just removing single pieces and replacing with accent colors would work out. Is there a sure-fire way to remove the 4x4 wall tiles and replace? Also, I was thinking of tiling the small ceiling...
Installing wall tiles over top existing wall tiles

I am renovating a bathroom and want to change the tiles in the shower. I was wondering if I could install the new tiles overtop the existing tiles to avoid destroying the wall and what steps to follow if this can be done. The existing tile is in great shape but not the desired colour.

I want to add a couple of ceramic shelves to my bathroom ceramic tub surround. What can you use to attach ceramic shelves to ceramic tiles? I tried the same glue used to put tiles on the drywall but they just slide. Thanks in advance! View more questions Search
