    Checks being withheld
OK I have had a simlilar issue. I have contacted my old employer 3 times. I do not fill out any time sheets anytime stating that I worked any time for them. And it has gone on for now almost 3 months. I called the national HR line and still receiving checks. So I do not see how they could say that I stole this money. I do not sign the checks they are direct deposited. I have checked with my bank and the bank said that I have to stop the dorect deposit from coming in from their side. So that will be my next step. This is a HUGE company. At what point is the company accountable for their mistakes. I do not think that I should have to stand on top of my head to get them to stop paying me. Especially when I turned in my 2 weeks noticed and then worked an extra weekend because they needed me to. I followed all rules.

I could see grand theft if I said I was working by filling out false time sheets. But I have had NO communication with this company at all. I gave the apprpriate 2 weeks notice and they accepted it.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Are you saying that the company is not paying you because they say you stole from them? Have you contacted your state's Dept of Labor?

Are you gave notice and they keep paying you ?
If they are still paying you, you can not keep the money, it is not yours, if you spend it, then there is aproblem

No I am not spending it. I can not stop the checks because it is an automatic deppsit. I move it to a savings account. I just can not get them to stop. I have called the main HR department, old boss. No one calls me back.

I do not complete a time sheet like I used to accounting for my time. They are also still taking out my insurance and FSA. (I am not using either of those either.)

First, please don't use the Comments feature for followups. Use the Answer options instead.

Sorry misread. That's what happens when you piggyback. Try closing your account and reopening another.

Agreed, if you merely close that account, the money will not be able to be deposit and will return to their account

This could not be some comp or PT you had on the books, I know when I left Federal employment I had almost 4 months time on the books they had to pay me.
