Plaintiff did not ask me for the money before filing the claim
Hi, the plaintiff did not ask me to pay by letter, phone or in person as the paperwork states , the plaintiff marked Yes that he did contact me prior to suing me.

What can I do about this? Just tell the judge and get the date postponed or is there anything else I can do?

No obviously I did not if I was not informed prior to being served. Pay them? I do not owe this person as they claim damages I did not make.

So you go to court and present your evidence.

Are you the correct person, no mistaken ID ( someone similar name perhaps)

But yes, you go to court and defend yourself, if they claim you owe them money, they will have to present evidence to the court to show you do.
