Have a shower with cultured marble and discovered that no pan was installed.
The plumber who originally installed the shower stated that no pan was need due to the 'sureflow' drain that was used.
The shower leaks into the bedroom - have cut a patch of drywall out and saw the water leaking. Will replacing the caulk stop the leak or does the entire shower need to be replaced? Also - if the shower does need to be replaced - better to go with ceramic tile (suce as a dalite product) or some oither material.

A Sureflow Drain is a U.K. device, Google can tell me nothing about it. Can you tell me what makes it special? In our single story slab homes I have installed showers in a dap-out ( A large square hole recessed in the slab. In place of the pn we hot mopped the opening with tar. Are you on a slab or where's your shower located? Before we talk about replacement let us find out more about what you already have. How long did this shower work without leaking? Back to you. Tom
