    Pre War Noritake Value?
I have Noritake China service for 12, with square salad plates, platters, serving bowels, gravy boat, cream, sugar, soup bowels, cups, and much more. The pattern is #722 Ariana and it is beautiful. I was told it was made before WW2. I've had it 34 years and don't think my kids care about it. They will inherit my mother's anyway. Trying to get an approximate value? Thanks for any help with this. D

Are you trying to sell the collection? If so, you might be able to do so on eBay or craig's list. I am somewhat familiar with this pattern. It's heavy floral pattern is not very popular among the younger generation today, as they seem to find the less ornate and more contemporary styles more appealing. Dinner plates reported to be in "mint condition" in this pattern are listed on eBay for $13 and have not sold since they were listed months ago. It's hard to say from watching these listings how much your set is worth given the fact that the pieces are not selling. However, I would guess that the set is not worth much given the current economic state and today's style preferences.
