Is wrong size wire costing more on hydro?
I have a big hot tub and the 8-3 wire is ran about 75 feet from house to garage... separate spa pack is in garage for hot tub and is 40 amps... then wire ran from spa pack to hot tub isonly like 12 feet... NOW my hydro bills are through the roof when the tub is running... I have shut it down for now... some people says that I need 3 gauge wire ran from house to garage... is this true? What should I do?this is killing me on hydro... alot of people are only paying like... 30-60 bucks a months for hydro for there tub... mine went as high as 300 bucks... what do I do? Oh you... this is 240 volt wiring
