Dodge Ram... Park brake does not want to release
Whenever I need to park on an incline, I tend to use my parking brake.

It's getting to where it does not want to release by pulling the release handle as normal.

The blinking "brake" light stays on and I have to manually pull up on the foot pedal to get the light to stop blinking.

A couple of times I had to try and release more than once because I could feel the drag when trying to move.

My concern is, even though I get the blinking brake light to go off,
    Or the brakes fully released.

    Would appreciate advice on :
Is there a way for me to check on this myself or do I need to bring it in for repair ?

    Thanks

I'd get under the truck and slightly back off the emergency brake adjusting nut. It's likely located under the driver's side rocker panel. Lubricate the cable, if necessary.

I've taken a picture of approx a 3' section on the underside.

Not sure which nut should be loosened.

Do not see how to lubricate cable.
