    Toilet and washer
    My toilet only flushes proper half the time and when I run my washer water and soap comes out of the drain hole in the basement. Is my main pipe clogges? Thanks

    Hi,

    It sounds like it is not your drain line that is backing up because toilet does drain and it is not coming out of basement. What causes this is incorrect venting. I say that because suds is produce by washer machine and when water is draining with suds, water leaves behind the suds and it causes turbulence in the drain line. So suds would find least path of resistance.
