The reason why I am shy is because there was this person I used to have a massive crush on (lets call her person A) that didn't like me back (I was literally head over heels crazy about her except I didn't show that side of me to her in person) eventually to person A I was nothing but a joke, she started to look at me negatively, started acting all snobby and started to spread rumors about me. It was as if she purposefully gave me hope and crushed me. She is in a way popular amongst her friends and actually pretty hot. I was never a rude person to her I was always nice and just wanted to have a close friendship with her and possibly go further if and only if things went on well. I was real mad at myself for letting this happen I wish it didn't, I even wish I never had class with her then. People told me to move on but it was tough because I felt as if I did have something going on when in reality it was nothing. Everyone knew about this whole thing and I honestly felt paranoid at school worrying about whether or not someone was going to jump out in front of me and just laugh or criticize. I was real ticked at her for doing that. Two years go by without us even talking and now I have her in one of my classes one of her friends (lets call her person B) just keeps on heating things up by just telling me about her in a mockingly way (I can honestly care less about person A its been two years) but her person B just thinks I like her and tries to haze at me about her telling me that I am still "obsessed" or "in love" when in real life I'm not. Like I said I can care less. Right now there is this other girl that I've been thinking about talking with (lets call her person C) she's really beautiful but I don't even know her I'm real shy to just talk to her because I feel that people would just go up to her (especially person B) and be like "oh my gosh this guy is talking to you ewww. He's such a stalker hes too obsessive" and then cause her to change her mind about me (although those rumors are so freaking false). At the same time I'm an average joe type of student (that has guts to step up to a beautiful girl lol : proved that when I told person A that I liked her) but in this case can't because 1) I feel that nothing will work out with this new girl and 2) that past experience of rejection keeps on haunting me every time I try to make a move on someone, on top of that a part of me wants to pursue person C because honestly if the worst ever happened it would be a plain old "NO" from her and I wouldn't care because its now my senior year in high school why not take the shot. How do I overcome my shyness and ignore person B (cus I really get ticked off at her when she keeps on bugging me about person A over and over again she is SOOOOO annoying.).. Help? Thanks oh yea and how confident should I be when pursuing this new girl?

I'd say just talk to her and be her friend, and when she tells you that she interested in being more than friends with you, tell her how you feel!
