    How a basin wrench works
I'm having the hardest time with the basin wrench and I can't figure out why. I am trying to replace the sprayer head and hose, but the basin wrench is not gripping around the nut. What am I doing wrong. When I turn it counter clockwise it's just not gripping onto the nut.

Try flipping over to the other position. Verify you are turning counter clockwise.

See the attach images it shows tightening the nut, To loosen the nut you have to flip the basin wrench to the other side as Stratmando suggested, good luck.

Kristen, to remove the sprayer hose nut from the faucet body you need to turn the nut counterclockwise as you are doing...

Set/flip the head of the basin wrench so it will close down on the nut when you spin the nut counterclockwise and it should easily unscrew... see image below.

Let us know how you make out, OK?

I know this is a stupid question, but how do you use a basin wrench? I had the hardest time getting my spray hose undetached from under my kitchen sink. I have a basin wrench, it just didn't work for me. What am I doing wrong? [email protected]
