    Advice concerning credit card judgement
I received a summons on October 20, 2006 concerning an old credit card debt. I was given 30 days to respond. I wrote a letter-since I am legal illiterate-stating I had paid Wolpoff & Abramson a substantial amount of money. I also sent a verification of debt form. I recently received a letter from the collection lawyers stating a response was never received & if payment is not received, they are ordering an execution of judgement to the Sheriff dept to seize personal property to sale in order to recover the debt. I never received a court date from my county-in NC. Can they enter my home & take personal property?

Did you go to court to defend against the claim?

File Motion to Vacate judgment, lack of proper service, if you never received notice you can defend yourself.
