    Vista questions
Like the tittle suggests I have Vista, and I am trying to free up some space on my laptop. I went to the control panel to look for add/remove hardware, but all I can see is add hardware.

Any one know how or where I find remove hardware?

You mean software? Removing hardware is not a good idea and will only help you free up physical space inside the housing of your laptop itself... and probably stop the functioning of your laptop.

If you are interested in uninstalling programs... look for the Programs and Features option in the control panel. But make sure you are only uninstalling programs you do not need.

Also, check out CCleaner. It will help to eliminate some extra waste.

BEFORE you do any of this though, backup your important files. They should already be backed up, but few people actually back things up.

Yes. Inside Vista it is no longer called add/remove programs. It is under the programs and features option in control panel.

Ccleaner is a good option. I use it myself. Also run dfrag and disk cleanup.

Some other options that you can try is decreasing your shadow copy reserve if applicable & deleting TEMP files manually.
