I would believe the Attorney who is familiar with the specific charges, your plea and the laws in your State. Here is info on all of the States: Expungement and Criminal Records: State-Specific Information - Criminal Law

Getting a CONVICTION expunged is nothing like getting a GUILTY PLEA expunged. Who advised you to plead guilty?

    Hello j:

In terms of expungement, I don't see ANY difference between pleading guilty and being found guilty at trial... I'd visit another lawyer.

As long as you haven't been convicted of another crime since you were convicted of the original crime you can get it expunged. You need at least 5-10 years in between the time you were originally convicted and the date you apply for the expungement. Contact a lawyer who does criminal law for a living and ask him how much it will cost. The time frame beginning to end can take up to 9 months to accomplish and the attorney must be paid in full by the hearing on the matter as well for you to get excellent representation. It can be done.

To be considered for a removal or crime off your record, you need to have good standing. What I mean by that is, there more likely to take off a candy bar theft vs. a car jacking. The higher the value, the less likely the judge will do it. It also de
