I live in Florida and just had concrete poured to extend the pool deck. While the contractor was pouring the slab it began raining heavily and they were not able to completely cover it. Now there is aggrigate showing and "water pits". How can this be

What does the contractor say? I can tell you that too much water (as finishers sometimes cause) on the surface of concrete will cause spalling (peeling off thin sections) and heavy rain during the placement causes the same dilution of the cement at the surface resulting in a weak bond.
Removal and replacement is the best option but I don't know how much is involved, I would investigate the latest products available for repair first. The amount of traffic on the slab is a factor, too.

Thanks for the response! They came back out today and resurfaced it with a grout type material that they said had extra bonding agents in it. I am new to this game, so I had to agree with them. I did get, in writing, a guarantee (warranty) that it wo
