Natural gas floor furnace pilot okay, but no heat.
Have standing-pilot floor furnace with manually-set Honeywell thermostat. Heat won't come on. Pilot light is burning okay. No sound at all when thermostat is turned up. No clicks, nothing. Should I replace thermostat first? Does it seem more likely to need a new thermocoupler?

The 2 thermostat wire going to stat,, take the loose from stat and tie then together, therefore bypassing the stat, does the furnace then fire up?if so its prob your thermostst. If furnace doesn`t fire up start with where the stat wires hook to gas valve and make sure of good connection. The old milivolt gas valves are simple but can be a headache, with stat hooked back up and calling for heat sometimes a couple light tape on the gas valve will wake it up,, try and let us know,
