    Time for a new lawyer?
About 2 weeks ago I got and signed a contract with a lawyer because a business ripped me off. Well he was suppose to write a letter to the business and I already paid him the deposit but he hasn't done it yet and I've tried to contact him numorous times and got through once and he said he would start right away now, and its been a week with nothing written. Is he just too busy for me or is he just not interested in my case. I just don't understand why he wouldn't take the time to help me out especially since I already paid. I'm looking like an idiot to the business because I said I refuse to talk to them anymore and my lawyer will handle things but I'm forced to keep corresponding with them because he is m.i.a

If you are unhappy with your Attorney send a letter, return receipt requested, asking that he no longer represent you and requesting a refund of your money.

He may very well keep part of it to pay for the initial consultation and any research he has done.

I asked this question for a friend of mine, she likes the guy and every time they do talk he sounds promising and willing to get on it but nothing done and its been almost 3 weeks. Just wondering if it seems like she is wasting her time or to give him a chance in case he has just been busy.

When you start with a lie - "I" when it should be "my friend" - I lose interest and so do the majority of the legal experts.

To be brief - if he said he would get a letter out and he did not and she is dissatisfied, then she needs to replace him. If she is not dissatisfied because he's a nice guy (or for some other reason) then she should stay with him.

The tax one is MY situation. We both used this website to answer our legal questions. Just because we used my account doesn't mean I deserve to be called a liar.

It is time to close this - the person posting and the person responding may be two people, one person with two names - any other possible combination.

I note one signs off before the other signs on.

We are using the same computer what is your problem, or is it just the typical New York jerk persona? Just mind your business we don't want your input anymore for either of our problems.

Time to close - both personalities are getting insulting.

Time for someone to let both personalities know what the rules of the board are?

Judy please stop attacking us then, I just don't understand why you keep replying to our questions just to insult me and my friend. I asked you just not to reply to our questions if you feel this way. Be mature and respectful.
