Can a custodial parent move and leave the child in Tennessee
My ex has been unemployed and lived with his parents in Tennessee. He has custody of our son and I have my sons two older brothers. My sons teacher claims he is sick everyday and smells bad like smoke. My ex has not given me his address for months at a time. They do not allow my son to call me at all. I have to make all of the calls. Now my ex has moved into his little houseboat with his girlfriend and left my son with his parents. My husband and I have a large home, his two brothers and a smoke free environment. Also when I had him this summer I had to take him and get him a root canal. I wrote my ex and told him he needed a follow up. My son never went back and when I saw him in October he still had infection. He wets the bed at 8 years old. I have taken him to the doctor for that. I am getting him all of his medical care but it is hard to do only a few times a year that I see him. I am so worried about him. His grandma is not mentally stable and even listed herself as a parent/guardian on his official school IEP. How can I get back custody? He is in desperate need of medical care and a parent at home. How can I prove the living situation?

You go back to Court and request custody, prove the living conditions, treatment, prove your son is in danger.

I don't understand - this boy is with his father but you have his two older brothers. Aren't the older sons also your children? (You say you have your son's two older brothers. Are they half brothers?)

Court is the only way to get custody. I'd do it quickly.

How did the father get custody and how long ago?
