    Kenmore Dryer Leaking Water
My Kenmore Elite Series Dryer is leaking water. When the dryer runs, the air inside the laundry room is very hot and humid. In addition, when I open the dryer door the air inside is the same. I have vacuumed all of the lint inside the unit and the vent is not obstructed. Also, the rigid aluminum vent bends only at a 45 degree and vents directly to the outside of the house. I have noticed that the vent is always cold when the dryer is running, which tells me that the problem might be the blower, as it's almost as if the hot/humid air is not being "blown" through the dryer to the outside. We recently moved and the dryer was in storage for about a month. It's about 7 years old. I just want to make sure I understand what the problem might be before I attempt to fix (i.e. replace the blower wheel or belt). Again, the issue is definitely not lint build-up, unless there is lint hidden somewhere that I can't readily access. Thanks so much for your help.

It is not venting out the water vapor from the drying cycle. If the vent line isn't hot, you have a bad vent fan, or a blockage in the vent system. You will need to pull the dryer away from the wall, remove the rear panel and start from there. Look to see if the vent fan is turning and check the voltage across the input wires. If you get 120V and the fan isn't turning, the fan is bad. If the fan is turning, you have a blockage. Check the lint screen, In a garage, mice love to get the lint for nests or even build nests in the dryer. Good luck.

Thank you so much. That was my thought, but I just needed some sort of confirmation before I attempted to take apart the dryer. I need to follow some step by step instructions on how to remove the fan and how to check that it's only the actual fan and not a belt or something like that. Thanks again.
