    Removal of briggs tub/shower handles
    Even after using handle removal tool, handles won't budge. Tool arms are actually bending. These are old handles I am trying to remove to replace cartriges/stems. Any other ways to remove tehse handles. Is it possible there are some type of control post on handles.

    Hi Jreacher...

    Just so we are on the same page... you did remove the screws holding the handles on... correct? If not, there should be a cap at the tip of the handle... unscrew it to reveal the screw. Remove the screws and try the handle puller again.

    If you did remove the screws try soaking the handles in WD40 overnight and then try again in the morning.

    Let me know what you come up with...

    Briggs tub but who makes the mixing valve or is that Briggs too?

    After tighten the handle puller, smack the end of the handle puller with a hammer. The vibration should break the seize between the handle and the stem.
