    Why is my puppys stomach swollen
    I have a six week old pit bull puppy and all of the sudden her stomach got really big and swollen with a bump of liquid on like her belly button and she shakes often when sleeping any ideas of what this is?

    Has she been dewormed? Is she up to date on vaccines? Does this only happen after she eats?

    Sorry but we need a bit more info before we can take a stab at it. But if it's something that you are concerned about, than you should seek help from your vet.

    The belly is probably worms, which most puppies have.
    The bump.. the way you are describing it, sounds like an umbilical hernia. That's something that will be fixed when she is spayed.

    To be sure of what it is, you should consult your vet.
    Has anything in her diet changed- eating, drinking, sleeping, exercising habits?
    How long has this been there?

    I just dewormed my puppy. She has passed worms twice in her stool and has had two bowel movements with no worms after that. Now her belly is very swollen. Should I be concerned? I'm taking her to the vet for the first time on Friday but I just want to know that she's oaky till then.
