    What to text? Holiday fling
Ok so I go on holidays every year to a small village in France with my extended family and the family has been doing this for generations. This year we met another family that do the same every year but we had never been there at the same time before. There was a guy my age, 24, who I really fancied but didn't think I would have a chance with... I was kind of shy around him and for the week only really chatted to him in a group. Then on his last night he came over to me when I was on my own and we got chatting properly and spent the whole night talking. We have loads in common and it turned out that he's living in london until christmas of this year and I was planning on moving over there from September.

To cut a long story short we ended up kissing and swapped numbers with the plan of meeting up when I got over to London.

Then about a week before I moved to London I texted him letting him know when I was heading over and said that as I don't know many people in the city I'd be up for bringing my friends out with a group of his friends for some drinks if he was up for it... but I got no reply.

I've now been in London for a week or so and have been thinking about him a bit.

I've just got out a long term relationship and he is moving away in a few months so I'm aware that nothing serious is going to happen but we got on really well and he's gorgeous so it would be fun to hang out with him here even for a short time. Plus I don't know many people and we had loads in common it would be great to meet his friends.

I wanted to text him something flirty or intriguing to get his attention... possibly off my new english number but at the same time I don't want to embarrass myself in case we see him on holidays next summer.

Any ideas of what I could do... or would it be best just to leave it? Because he would have replied to the first text if he was interested right? Be brutally honest, I'd prefer that.

    Thanks

He may have a girlfriend or something, but then again it's possible that he didn't get the text.

You might try texting one more time, but I'd give it up if you get no response from the second one.

Could it be possible that he's changed cell phone plans and got a new number?

You can text him once more... but you got to get it right so he doesn't get the idea you're the freaky stalker that you really are (don't worry, in these situations, it's normal).

You need to have an event to invite him along to... lots of people, not just you and your best friend. Tell him you're meeting friends after work on a Thursday or Friday - it'll help if it's near where he works, and you text him between 2pm and 3pm on the Wednesday (not Tuesday or thursday) beforehand to invite him along... just a casual invite... you're meeting up with some friends at wherever after work, and as you know he's in the area, would he fancy coming along? It would be great to catch up, and your friends are a really nice bunch etc...
There'll be a crowd of you, so he's more than welcome to bring his friends.
There's no pressure, it's after work, and nothing more than a meet in a pub.
You'll be with friends anyway, so he can make an excuse if he needs to (maybe girlfriend is about to give birth, or his kids first birthday on the weekend... who knows?), but to be honest, if he doesn't already have firm plans, he may well pitch up with one of his mates from his workplace that he went to the local pub with for a pint after work.
If he doesn't arrive, you're still out with your friends and all is good in the world. But if he does turn up, remember the rules, act really surprised and excited that he arrives, and then spend the next half hour talking to his friend - brutal, but effective. Don't get too plastered, leave that to him.

    Wear nice undies ;-)

[omg, did I really write that?]
