    Help me with my blemishes
Hi, my name is kay. I am african american living in southern Texas. I am light complected and have old acne blemishes. My skin became acne prone when I moved down south. I have read several items where many want to lighten the whole face/body because of total skin darkening. I only want to lighten/fade my blemishes on my face, mainly the chin area. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. :)

If you want to improve the appearance of old acne scars, I recommend using a good bleaching cream. Also, the use of alpha hydroxy acids, microdermabrasion kits or glycolic peels may help lighten unwanted scars.

There are many over-the-counter products that can be effective for acne scar removal. Look for creams that contains salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid or hydroquinone. Most dermatologists use hydroquinone on patients who have acne scars. You will find 2% hydroquinone creams at your local drugstore or pharmacy. You can also try Neutrogena Advanced Solutions, at-home microdermabrasion kits or glycolic peels.
