    The first step to getting custody of my child
    I am a father that pays child support and now my 14 yr. old daughter lives with me.whats the first step in getting custody? The mother will not contest.

    File a motion to modify custody and child support. As it stands, you are still obligated to continue paying CS even though the child lives with you. Then get the mother to sign a non-opposition to the motion and agreement for the entry of such an order.
