I am applying for mortgage and the agent told me it went through and ask me to get on with the conveyor so I did but today he said the mortgage didn't go through. So the house is back on the market and the conveyor company said they can't refund the money. Surely is the agents fault but what can I do to prove it is his fault and get my money back. Worst of all, he ask me to lie to inland revenue because the reason why the bank refuse the mortagage is that the mortgage is under my name only but I have working tax credit which is under both me and my husband name so alliance and leicester said unless inland revenue will take my husband name off record then they will approve the mortgage but inland revenue refuse to do it. And the agent ask me to lie to them saying we separate but I am not prepared to lie and I am sure that is wrong.
