Thanks so much Laura, this thread and you have been a Godsend. Going to take me a little walk now, so I can sing on my own without the fear of being taken away :).
Have a great night. Hope you get good rest.

best of luck to all of you!
I haven't smoked in over two months now. It was tough at first, I had terrible cravings.
I have been having acupuncture and acupressure though, and it has helped a huge amount.
I don't crave cigarettes so much now. I do miss the habit. I miss the crutch of it.
I have been mighty irritable and shorttempered. And my body is still reacting to being nicotine free.
it's a tough decision, but a liberating one. I didn't think about being a non-smoker. I became fed up being a smoker, and decided that from the outside, looking at my lifestyle and my habits, didn't reflect who I wanted to be. It was a moment of low confidence, and I decided to change one thing I could physically, tangibly change. Each day was just a day, and gradually my ideas about cigarettes changed - I didn't want to smoke. I still accompany friends on cigarette breaks, I still accept that any minute I could be a smoker again, and I'm trying to become more healthy. Change of habit = change of outlook.
hope some of this is some help. There's no point giving yourself a hard time about it. Yes you will want to smoke. But feel that want and accept it. Whinge about it if needs be, but let it wash around you and wear off.
good luck xx

If you're going to serve him dinner ala lap make sure its pasta with a lot of red sauce. Although my personal favorite was nachoes and cheese.

Laura, I am soooooooooooooooooooo not looking forward to hubby quitting. I do want him to for his own sake, and I am glad he is waiting for me to fully quit, as if we both were doing it, YIKES!!
So far I had one today. I made another calendar. Today's goal ifs 4 ( I am so good to myself.. hee hee). Then next Sat. is my official quit day. With the meds you have to pick
A Quit day. I am hoping to quit fully before then, but I knew today would not be the day as it's Mother-in-law day (every Sunday is ). May need to revise the calendar for today and raise it to 44. Where is my correction fluid??
