Does anyone know the names of these two movies?

Movie 1: A guy who had a job selling fishing eqipment listens to fishermen talking and ends up writing a book about how to fish but he himsel;f does not know how to fish. He confides in two female friends who try to teach him to fish before the great tournament. One of these friends takes sleeping pills and ends up inhis bed. The other tears her dress on a wicker chair and he gets his tie caught in it. Both incidents lead to his girlfriend dumping him. At the actual tournament, him catching the fish is purely accidentl. The first time the line hangs over his shoulder with bait on it. The fish eats the bait and he falls backwards into the pool. The second time his line with the fish on it gets caught in a tree. The third time he nearly walks backwards into a bear and scared of the bear yanks his line in with the fish on it. Willoughby tells his boss the truth and is fired but later his boss forgives him and gives him his job back. He also starts dating one of his two female friends.

Movie 2: A girl who refused the love of a man because she wanted to be free and single hears that this man has met someone else. She now wants her man back. She makes his new girlfriend sing in public and embarasses her, pretends to be engaged to her gay best friend to make him jealous and writes him an angry e-mail supposedly from his dad. She eventually confesses she lves him but is forced to say goodbye because he loves his new girlfriend. The film ends with her dancing with her gay friend George.
