I need help determining if I could be pregnant
I am 9 days past my due menstrual cycle. I took my first home pregnancy test on 3 days past, which showed a faint positive. I took another test on days 5 and 8 past, which both showed negative. I have NEVER missed a cycle, and am wondering if maybe I ovulated later than thought and could possibly be pregnant. Please help!!

When you had the faint positive, do you recall whether you read it within the time frame indicated on the test? If you read it afterwards, it would not be accurate as some tests will show a faint line later on.

I would give it a few more days and see if your period shows up late. No period, try another test using first morning urine as concentrations of hcg tend to be higher at that time. Also be sure to read it within the time indicated on the directions.

If still negative and no period, either wait until next month and see what happens... even though it may have never happened before, missing a period here or there is not unusual, or you could see your doctor and ask about having a blood test done.

Thanks so much DoulaLC! I've been doing a lot of reading lately because of this. I am actually Trying to conceive, and still hopeful. It is just that missing a period is NEW and NEVER happened before, so it is giving me hope... just confused about the test. (not wanting to think negatively)!! Thanks again

Well, DoulaLC... should I be hopeful of pregnancy? When my period was due it felt as if it could be coming, but never showed. Now it doesn't seem to be coming at all. How likely is a HPT to continue to show negative, but pregnancy to have taken place?
