    Misterminor uncased firearm in Minnesota
OK hi there people I need your help... I was arrested for an uncased firearm in the trunk of my car my charge was a misterminor and $50 bail out, I bail out right away. The officer told me it wasn't a big deal if I would have my cased for my friearm it be OK he will just let me go but I didn't have it at the time I just bought my handgun like 2 days after I got caught I have the paper work for it too that I had bought the gun and now its mine. But I still have to go to court so what would happen in court ?

Yes, of course you have to go to Court with your evidence.

I will correct you so that you do not embarrass yourself in Court - it's not misterminor. It's misdemeanor.

How did they know the firearm was in your trunk? As the officer said, it's not a big deal, but even so, they needed probable cause to search your trunk.

You bought the gun after you got caught? That's confusing.

You might want to talk to the authorities about dropping the case if you show them you now have a case for it. Did they seize the gun? You had better also check with the officer about the procedure for getting it back.

Speaking of smart guys - please read the AMHD rules and stop responding in the comment box.

I am surprised that you would prefer to go to Court and refer to your misterminor arrest as opposed to the correct name.

And you're right - I AM smart. I know how to use the AMHD site according to the rules and I've never been arrested. I don't have to come on AMHD and ask for free advice.
